Hi everyone! I am a PhD candidate working on the user-centered design of an HMI to control a multi-robotic cells for arc metal welding and train novice production operators to perform semi-automated arc welding. As part of my PhD, I am looking for 5 participants with expertise in UX/Manufacturing Processes Automation for a 30 to 60 min long Online Focus Group on 22/07/2025 h 9-10 am CET (*the date and duration can be reviewed based on the participants' availability). In case more than 5 participants sign-up, I will organize additional sessions.
The main goal of the focus group is to define the user persona(s) of future operator(s) who will be interacting with multi-robotic cells for arc metal welding in the (near) future. In the session:
1. I will provide an overview of the 2 robotic systems currently under development in the COROB project (see
https://www.youtube.com/@COROB-project) and of the relative user interaction flow.
2. I will ask participants to complete user persona templates with a short bio, imagining - based on the previous overview and on the bios- how the use of the technology will affect their work routine and how their experience is going to be.
3. If time allows, I will ask participants to quickly provide feedback to the initial mock-up of the COROB platform HMI.
Prior to the session, I'd ask participants to read, fill-up and sign a consent form to ensure the confidentiality of the collected data.
Thank you very much for your attention and time, please send me a private message in case you are interested 😊
