We are currently building a light MES with operator and production manager UIs, NFC token login, user management, SAP integrations for worker data and order updates. All within Grafana and our UNS infrastructure. Once finalized it is at least two webinars worth. Saying this: having a OSS project which delivers such MES functionalities from the ground up is a huge undertaking, but could create tremendous value for the community and would simplify our work. Building it on a UNS would make such a project way smaller and manageable for a smaller team. There are project which go into this direction: https://simplemes.github.io/simplemes-core/mes/guide.html Could be a starting point for the general concept, but as far as I understand your idea brings more power to the enduser by leveraging simpler development cycles with LLMs. So there is still tons of untouched value you are aiming for.
