This is of course a problem. Me and Jeremy have discussed this several times. With the mgmt console where you get the sql code. It is not that hard for a new user to copy/paste the code. Also when implementing an IoT system. Someone needs to learn SQL. But i agree with you. The datasource gives a more no-code experience. I was looking at creating my own datasource since a have some special need with sql anywhere. It is not so hard to do but i cannot motivate to put the time in at work for this. However, the datasource v2 is on github so the community could maybe put some work into it if there is enough users wanting the feature.
