I'm working on a process optimization project for a door manufacturing company in The Netherlands. While I’m keeping some specifics anonymous, I can share that the focus is on a fully automated production line that is 75 meters long and 30 meters wide, and it's the first of its kind. The line is currently operational but still in the development phase, with plans to take on a larger share of production in the near future. The main objective is to gain more insights into bottlenecks and failure patterns, enabling targeted improvements. This should lead to a reduction in cycle time for the most frequently produced configurations. The line handles a wide variety of products, adding complexity due to different cycle times and settings required for each configuration.
