My present thought is that it may be best to design a protocol or interface to connect the data layer to Kafka directly, without the intermediary of the MQTT broker. Does anyone here perhaps have any suggestions as to if that seems like a viable and correct pathway, or if there may be another option that is some version of better/easier?
