@Jermuk got some new opc-ua devices today which should be exactly the same as before according to the machine supplier, but no.. so now i have new errors.
j
let me add later int16 and uint16 as data types
d
didn't we do that in the nightly ?
oh.. i saw now that i had the lastest for the new node. i will change to nightly and try
v0.1.3-nightly-202306221351
that one worked.
j
oh nice
no need for me to fix something, but maybe I should release a new version 😄
d
i was copying the yaml from my backed up settings and there i used the :latest version.
yes. the latest nighly you also fixed the error when loosing connection.
do you have any quick solution to filter out some opc-ua nodes so i don't send them to mqtt?
j
you could filter for the topic, and then drop some using this: https://www.benthos.dev/cookbooks/filtering/#the-basic-filter
there is even an example
d
looking at it right now..
trying to use a match and deleted()
works now.. i hade some missing sign..
the machine manufacturer which told med the names and structures should be identical for the new machines had changed every name in the opcua and added 6 more so i have translated 70 opcua names this evening.. not what i had planned since i started my summer vacation at 15:00 today.

luckily, we are working at the moment on a .csv implementation, so that you can do that type of mapping with chatgpt and the management console
should theroetically also be possible right now
copy in the normal benthos flow, and then an extract from the OPC-UA server, and ask chatgpt to try to map it as best as it can
d
that could be a good solution..
