personally, I am a little bit sceptical about PdM. I wrote my bachelor thesis on the use-cases / "when does it makes sense to do it" and the basic result was that it is a nice technical solution, but everywhere where it makes sense from a financial standpoint, it is already used (aviation, oil&gas, nuclear reactors, etc.). for the rest, you could "just replace it in fixed time intervals" and would be probably cheaper for you
