I have a pile of intel NUCs (7th gen), Dell thin clients (5070), and raspberry pi’s. I’m currently looking to build a homelab to learn UMH on consumer hardware. For data inputs I have some arduinos, sensors, tasmota plugs, and 3d printers I’m hoping to build around with MQTT. I’ve watched the UMH setup playlist on the YouTube channel, but is there any advice for consumer hardware in terms of specs and resources? I have access to a seemingly endless stream of IT equipment from a local university and likely have anything I could want on the IT side, just Hoping to find and learn more OT hardware without overspending on enterprise grade stuff.
