I’ve been configuring my network topology and definitely overthinking naming devices. The asset table has the auto increment for ID then a text string for assetID, is there a common practice for asset naming conventions or advice? Wondering if there are erp or network topology frameworks I should be aware of while mapping out my hardware layer.
