If the scheduling software only interacts with the ERP, and no other systems in the network must interact with this scheduling software, I would just integrate it into the ERP if there's a direct integration. The UNS shines where separate systems need to communicate with each other. You can also publish the data from the scheduling software in the UNS (via the ERP) so that other systems can access it as well
