I am using node-red for alerting when trigger values are exceeded.. I am looking to integrate some button functionallity in Grafana but have not had the time yet.. Currently testing some new node where i trigger the relay outputs from node-red.. For the future one of my long term plans is to run some type of larger analysis to find machine and part problems but i need to have more data first.. not sure what you want to do?

Yep, I have already read those articles, but from what I understand, for industry, it's not enough to just visualize data

Have you checked out the Analytics and the Historian Feature? For certain use-cases the visualization of time-series data is enough (e.g., Historian). In some cases, a transparency dashboard about hte shopfloor and production is required (Analytics Feature). We just published the feature description for alerting, in case you want to be informed if a value goes above or below a certain threshold.
